If you were a boarding school student in the 80s or 90s, you probably remember the spine-chilling tale of Madam Koi Koi.
This ghostly legend has been passed down from generation to generation, and now, thanks to filmmaker Jay Franklyn Jituboh and collaborator Dale Falola, it’s been brought to life in Nollywood’s first horror movie, The Origin: Madam Koi Koi. The two-part Netflix film delves deeper into the story, filling in the gaps and bringing a new level of terror to the already frightening tale.
The first part, which follows Amanda, a new student struggling to fit in at St Augustine Catholic College, was released on October 31st. Don’t miss the second part, coming to Netflix and cinemas on November 7th.
