Notably, this marked the inaugural presentation of the Best Afrobeats Award at the MTV EMAs. Meanwhile, Diamond Platnumz, a renowned Tanzanian singer known for his chart-topping hits like “Number One,” “Kanyaga,” and “Unachezaje,” secured the Best African Act Award.
